A few weeks ago, I shared images from Stephanie's boudoir session, and an incredible boudoir portrait blog, The Boudoir Collective, is featuring this session on their journal today!

I love this portrait! Her lingerie is on point, her shoulders look strong and epic, her expression and her curls are the perfect mix of effortless and poised. She wanted her portraits to be true to herself and her personality; she wanted them to feel romantic and effortless and relaxed. 

She brought along epic lingerie full of textures and delicate designs, and together we created these stunning Minneapolis boudoir portraits.

As Stephanie and I were planning her boudoir portraits, one of her goals was using these portraits to celebrate herself and her body. We discussed planning boudoir portraits with a mix of sexiness and elegance, and her session in my natural-light boudoir studio in Minneapolis was incredible!

As we went through her session, I took advantage of the bright, beautiful sunlight in my gorgeous natural-light studio to bring an effortless, elegant feel to her portraits.

Beyond her beautiful wardrobe, V also brought along some accessories that added a lot of personality into her portraits! She brought an epic string of pearls, a vintage fur coat that belonged to her mother, a black feather fan, and a few loose peacock feathers. I think the perfect accessory is something with personal meaning that adds to the style of your portraits without being too distracting, and these were the perfect touches - they made her portraits come alive. 

I love getting to work with brides to plan out some bridal boudoir photography before their wedding. It's an incredible time in life and a great reason to book a boudoir session - most brides will gift the pictures to their partner as an engagement gift or a wedding-morning present.

I loved working with Charlotte on her bridal boudoir session! She wanted her images to feel beautiful and effortless and true to her personality and she brought along some stunning lace and silk chemises.

These portraits are from a session in my natural-light Minneapolis boudoir studio from last fall, and I'm so excited to show them to you! She wanted her portraits to feel relaxed and beautiful and cozy, so we planned some casual boudoir portraits with a sweater and a mug of coffee and it was glorious.

It's an incredible experience - boudoir sessions have already been empowering, but this transforms it into an entire magical day of self-care and self-celebration. 

The studio where I photograph my boudoir sessions is a Northeast Minneapolis photography studio. It's a historic warehouse building that was renovated this summer. With whitewashed brick walls, original hardwood floors, and tons of natural light streaming in through the south-facing windows, it is perfect for my Minneapolis boudoir portrait sessions.

Planning an elegant, stunning boudoir session for B was incredible. She was drawn to natural, sexy images and wanted to avoid portraits that would feel "cutesy" or forced. I love creating natural posing with my clients, so I was excited to create portraits with an unposed, effortless feel.
