Art boudoir day!
Last year, I had the idea of offering a series of “art boudoir” minimalist sessions. I’ve been gravitating towards exploring ways to incorporate fine art elements into my work, and so many of my clients have been requesting images that are extra artsy and creative. I dreamed up the art boudoir concept as an opportunity to create experimental and modern portraits, centered on capturing the artful body lines, forms, and shapes.
S did her first boudoir session with me a few years ago. That session had a strong “classic boudoir” feel in that we captured a multitude of emotions and moods throughout her photoshoot. S had been thinking about doing another boudoir session, and when I pitched my art boudoir concept on instagram she resonated immediately! S loved the idea of focusing her second photoshoot at my Minneapolis boudoir studio on capturing lots of figure detail images and creating artful portraits that felt strong, romantic, and celebratory.

The slight pop of S’s foot and the way her arm gently rests over her knee creates a powerful juxtapositoion of confidence + ease.
S chose to get this image printed and framed as a gorgeous wall art piece. I love how much personality is captured through the strong pose of her and the artistic tattoos on her back,.
